In this 2 day workshop, you will learn how to program an Arduino board, basic electronics and lasercutting while being part of a collaborative artistic project.

Case Study

A number of modular interactive lighting devices, each one fabricated and programmed during the workshop, will be used for a composition projected onto outdoor elements such as facades, street furniture, trees, pavements etc. This projection composition will be collectively created in situ in various architecturaly interesting locations in Athens. The responsive designs  will temporarily become part of the urban landscape as the group walks at a set itenerary and will be available to revisit after having being documented.

This workshop is for people interested in the application of technology for creative projects.You are not expected to have prior experience in programming, electronics or digital fabrication. You should however be creative, be familiar with the use of 2D design software , be motivated to learn and develop simple code and most importantly to be willing to work with others to create a collective outcome.

You are expected to bring your laptops and to have pre-installed :
