“ Generative Patterns – Gh lvl. 1 ” is a 3-day (24-hour) Grasshopper marathon workshop, dealing with the generation of intricate computational geometric patterns. Over the course of this workshop, we will work towards both the design and the implementation of geometric patterns, be it on an architectural facade project, a modular furniture element, or a simple textile design. We will be going further than simple geometry creation, into the preparation of fabrication files within manufacturing tolerences. During the course of this class, you’ll learn and comprehend the fundamentals of visual programming with Grasshopper3d, and move quickly from simple data structure management to complex generative modelling, concluding with a design case study, to be fabricated after the completion of the workshop, with our in-house cnc milling machin
